Joseph's Hauraki Plains Atheletics

 On Wednesday the 11th I went to Athletics and I was representing my school I did for my events long jump and came 3rd I also did 800-meters and 1500 meter. I came 2nd in one of them and 2nd in the other one to I was so surprised what place I came i thaught I was going to lose because I was really nervous but at least we finished the race without dropping out so that is how I came 2nd. And then after that we ad the relays and we all won the relays and there were a lot of schools there to so I was even more nervous. But I finished the race and I made it to teams valley.

Letter of the week

This week I did Letter of the week. The letter that we had to do was c and I got a lot of good words and some words I have not heard before. It also took me about three days to do because we had our athletics and the letter of the week was early fun hope u enjoy. 

Joseph's Athletics

 On Tuesday we had athletics we all went accept some people because they were sick. I went to high jump 100-meter sprint and shock put and also I did long jump and 200-meter sprints. The learning power I used the most was resilience because I was not giving up at what I was doing or not being angry if I lost or did lose. I also showed courage because I was being brave and trying something new because I have never done high jump. I also did the 800 meters and that is 2 big laps that did I was so puffed after that one and so tired after that. I also went to do the 200 meters and I was still tired from the 800 meters then I ran out of breath when I was running so I just did my hardest and it actually worked so I am going to Hauraki plains. I also did the relays and Khobie was the first runner Josh was the second runner and I was the third runner and Hayden was the fourth runner and when we were running we were going so good but at the end, Hayden fumbled it and he almost dropped it but it didn't because I caught it.

Finger prints

 

For the fingerprints, we had to rub our hair for not that long. Then we had to press on the window very lightly because if u did it hard u will not get a perfect fingerprint. After we did that we had to put a piece of tape on the window the pell the tape of the window then we had to put it on a piece of black paper.

CSI Fingerprinting

 This week on Thursday 22 of October we did our fingerprints there are three different types of fingerprints. There is the loop the whorl and the arch we all have different fingerprints even if u are an identical twin u still don't have the same fingerprint. I have all three I have 6 whorls three loops and 1 arch. My favourite part was when I worked with my buddy Ryan his favourite fingerprint is the whorl print my one is the loop because it is the best one to get. There is also a double loop that I don't have it looks very cool but I do not have one but my friend Alex has one. I also like how we had new teachers this week and it was pretty mixed up. My best friend Lachie has 5 loops and 2 arch's and 3 whorls which is very cool and it is better than cool it was awesome. I think I would like to do it again but about DNA because I do not know that much of DNA and it will be cool to learn heaps more stuff.

Holiday

In the holidays I went to my dads because we had to go to a funeral for my aunt who passed away because she was very old. I also went to the pools with my dad and dads girlfriend. We also went to the lake for dinner because it was the last day there and we had fish and chips with some drinks. And also before we went to bed we had a hot chocolate with dads homemade biscuits. And after that we watched a movie called the meg then we went to sleep and when we woke up we started cleaning and then we were on our way home. Then we got home and I started crying because I missed my mum and we haven't seen her in ages.

The literacy astronaut mystery

 This week I did a literacy mystery for my must do's I got Hugo. I got mucked up on every single one because I had t keep going over and over again but eventually I got is did not take me long it took me about 10 minutes to do it. I also worked by myself I was really happy when I finished it.

 This is my te o reo maori for this week. I choosed this Word because I taught it was really easy and say it better. I choosed kia kaha which means don't worry it is alright because it sounded really nice cool and awsome because we are really nice to eachother.

Rad Rhythm

This week we did rad rhythm. My favourite part was when we get to make up our song with drums and having fun with them. We also learned what rhythm means it is like a clock that goes tik tok and it has a beat with is when it does it. We also listened to a couple of songs that were pretty funny and had beats to it and stuff We had lots of fun.

The red panda is part of the racoon and bear families. I have been researching about the red panda I herd that it can climb trees and it also’s squeals to keep the predators away from the red panda. Red pandas are about 58 centimetre’s long that was the male I the female was about 50 centimetre’s long. The red panda has whiskers that are white red body and some white on it too.
3.  Habitat Where does this animal live?  How does it find/make shelter? The red panda live’s in the rainforest in china it is a really foggy place u can even here a Croke thru the deep dark valley. It is really dark and it has heaps of tree’s where they sleep is in the tree’s and it lives on bamboo s they pretty much live right beside bamboo.	4.  Diet What does the animal eat?  How does it get its food? The red panda gets its food by going and staying where they can see high view there so they can travel in the tree’s to get there too.
5.  Adaptations How does the animal's appearance help it to survive?  What animals prey on this animal? Snow leopards are really dangerous to red pandas because they hunt them to eat them for dinner.
